F&A Next connects food and agriculture startups to investors, serving as a springboard to greater innovation and a better deal for all
F&A Next is about thought leadership and connecting promising startups and scale-ups to dedicated food & agritech investors and innovative corporates. It includes one and a half days of networking, pitching, and debating the dynamics of food and agriculture. If you are wholeheartedly committed to the need for innovation in Food & Agriculture, make sure you don’t miss out on F&A Next.
We are all aware of the world’s challenges. We should increase food production by 60% to feed a world population of 9 billion in 2050. At the same time, the public expects healthy, safe, and affordable food, and demand is being further influenced by urbanization and changes in consumer behavior. These are exciting days for the agri-food sector as we make the fundamental changes required to:
-
- Increase the availability of sustainable food
-
- Improve access to food in emerging markets
-
- Enhance yields to grow production and meet future demands
-
- Reduce supply chain losses and waste.
The EU has allocated a budget of €4 billion to innovation in food, agriculture and related domains to contribute to solving these challenges. Startups will play a vital role in making sure that this money is well spent. Through annual events, the F&A Next platform gives new companies with international potential access to top investors and financial growth capital.
About the initiators of F&A Next
F&A Next is an initiative by Rabobank, Wageningen University & Research, Anterra Capital, StartLife, and FoodValley NL, who launched this event in 2016 to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship. These organizations collectively believe innovation is key to sustainably feeding future generations. Disruptive innovation is not enough; it must also be implemented and transformed into tangible applications. Entrepreneurs are needed for their drive, investors for their belief, and corporates for their mass impact.
