Tomas Turner is the co-founder and CEO of Cultivated Biosciences, a company dedicated to improving the lives of both humans and animals through sustainable food innovation. With a background in Material Engineering from the Swiss Institute of Technology (EPFL), Tomas discovered his passion for alternative proteins through his involvement in the Effective Altruism movement.
Inspired by the potential of food technology to address climate and health challenges, he explored this field further during an internship at Planted Foods and research at EPFL. There, he developed the idea of producing creamy fat using yeast—a breakthrough he now brings to life at Cultivated Biosciences.
