John has been a farmer in the United Kingdom for 40 years. He transitioned the farm to a more regenerative approach in 2010. He was so pleased by the benefits he saw in soil improvement, carbon sequestration, biodiversity gain and farm profits that he started the Groundswell show in 2016 in order to encourage other farmers to improve their lives, their farms and the environment, seeing as no-one else seemed to be interested in doing so.
The show is now an annual festival that hosts 7.500 delegates. We are currently planning Groundschool, an educational and research facility to continue and expand the regeneration that is happening across the land.
